description

Join "Extreme science, investigating the unknown" this summer with Madison School and Community Recreation.  This week-long session is a part of the "Middle School On The Move" summer camp and runs June 27 through July 1.

How do you see something that’s invisible? From the far edges of the universe to the most extreme environments on earth, invisible particles are everywhere. You’ll learn about these particles—that can travel through the earth, through us, and through everything—and how detectors around the world “see” them. You’ll build your own detector and harness the energy of the sun to power your own creation, and then enjoy a trip to the school forest and observatory.
