The first Basler plane arrived at the South Pole last week, bringing a few newcomers and carrying away some outgoing winterovers (both of IceCube’s still remain). But it was just one plane for the week—flights have been curtailed in general this year, but bad weather has added to the situation by delaying some scheduled flights.  They’ll all get there eventually though.  In the meantime, those who did arrive were happy to have finally made it to the South Pole and were welcomed warmly by the people remaining at the station.
