Last week, with the IceCube detector behaving well, winterovers Benjamin and Kathrin had a bit more time for extracurriculars.  They enjoyed a live webcast with a classroom in Italy.  The image above shows their set-up at the South Pole, while the following image shows how the class saw them from the other side.  The webcast allowed them to share their experience at the Pole and answer many questions from the curious students.  Last week, both winterovers also started trying their hand at riding a unicycle (so far, they’re happy to have the wall there for support).
