Shadows are getting longer as the first large group of summer workers heads out from the Pole. Soon enough the flights will end, leaving the winter crew alone for the dark months to come.  In the meantime, it was a relatively uneventful week at the Pole—fire alarm testing in the station and some monthly DOMCal work for the IceCube winterovers.  One of last week’s flights brought the final big delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables for the season, before the winter sets in for good.
