There’s always something going on at the Pole.  Each week’s activities usually fall under both categories of work and play, and last week was no different for IceCube’s winterovers.  The detector kept them busy, with physical labor (cleaning and moving things) in addition to computer work (software troubleshooting), and there was also some fire brigade training.  On the fun side, they got in some outdoor photography—well, technically indoors for the shot above of the icy stairwell down in the fuel arches—and hanging out with astronauts.
