It was a busy week for IceCube’s newest winterovers.  A plane arrived after a long hiatus, bringing some new folks to the station and taking away last year’s winterovers, finally.  But much of the excitement came from alarms going off, some for detector issues (right in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner!) and others—two of them—for fires, both of which were false alarms thankfully.  But it gave the new winterovers a chance to apply their training to emergency response operations.  Raffaela received a medal for her participation in the 5k Thanksgiving “Run your tail feathers off” challenge.  She was also taking photos outside, capturing a bright sun with a halo and sun dogs.
