IceCube’s new winterovers, Benjamin and Kathrin, are now fending for themselves as they said goodbye last week to Johannes and Raffaela (above), who finally left the Pole after some delays.  (Thanks, guys!) The current winterovers started the week troubleshooting a detector run crash, and they greeted newcomers throughout the week as several summer personnel arrived for a tour of duty.  On a clear day, Kathrin climbed the weather tower to capture a bird’s-eye view of the station and the next day watched a NOAA balloon launch.
