It was a quiet week at the Pole.  And with some bad weather, it was a good time to roam around and take some indoor photos—a batch of homemade pretzels, the station’s extensive DVD collection, and a display cabinet housing previous years’ pole markers.  The quiet of last week is a bit of calm before the eventual storm of the station’s reopening.  In the meantime, the inevitable sunrise is making its slow transition.  The skies still show visible stars and auroras but only faintly so as they compete with the increasing sunlight.
