Last week the IceCube team completed their planned upgrades for the radio and scintillator arrays.  Above we see an antenna that got deployed on the ice, while below is a smiling IceCube team member relaxing among the deployed scintillators.  The upgraded IceAct telescope was also successfully mounted on the ICL. Still sunny, but the South Pole is getting colder and colder each day—lots of icy eyelashes.  IceCube winterover John spent a night in a Scott tent (no photo this time—boo!—but here's one from the end of last year).
