Week 22 at the Pole

Last week at the Pole was a quiet one.  Submitted ideas for the next pole marker are on display.  The winterovers will vote on their favorite design for the 2021 marker.  IceCube’s winterovers had a tour of the ARO facility (the Atmospheric Research Observatory) last week and took some photos of modern and antiquated CO2 flasks used for their sampling (that’s Yuya holding one of the original flasks). The rest of the week was spent on preparations for upcoming midwinter activities.
