Last week was a relatively quiet week at the Pole.  Well, quiet as far as the IceCube detector was concerned, but there were a variety of things going on as usual.  For starters, they did some tech rescue training (which looks like it combines work and fun).  Then they had a karaoke night and assembled a LEGO Saturn V rocket (while watching Apollo 13).  And to top it off, they shared some great meals—a surf and turf dinner, pizzas, and homemade ice cream—not all in one night, but all in the same week.  Not bad for an isolated community at the bottom of the world.
