Come and enjoy science with the family. All activities will be in Spanish.
- In the Planetarium: Mayan Archaeoastronomy: Observers of the Universe is the first movie for fulldome projection that is completely animated and made in Mexico. Learn about the Madison night sky. What stars can we see with the naked eye? And with a telescope? Three shows: 6:15, 6:45 & 7:15 pm. This is a free activity. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
- Telescopes: Learn more about the extreme universe with IceCube, a gigantic telescope at the South Pole. We'll stargaze with telescopes and may even see the Orion Nebula, weather permitting.
- Storytelling: Madison Public Library will read stories about the universe for kids and families. Stories will start at 6:15, 6:45, & 7:15 pm. You can also apply for a library card and check out science books in Spanish.
Refreshments and snacks for everyone (while supplies last).
Activity organized by the MMSD Planetarium and WIPAC with the collaboration of the Madison Public Library and UW Space Place and with support from Domino's Pizza, Pick 'n Save and Dunkin' Donuts.
